Empower yourself and our community by joining an Interest Group!

Interest Groups are areas of work in which volunteers can grow as leaders. Our Interest Groups range from educational to service to issues based.

Program (Issues) Focus

Program is League lingo for “Issues.” For our 2023-2024 Program (aka Issues) Priorities, we will focus on

Mental Health

Environment

Affordable Housing

The purpose is to educate our communities on these issues, offer a space for critical thinking and dialogue on the issues, and advocate accordingly on these priorities with our locally elected boards.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is not a standalone program, as we will work to view all of our programs, projects, communications, and events through a lens of equity and inclusion. Similarly, our Emerging Leaders group will support efforts in many of these areas, helping us to be more inclusive and view our work from a different generational perspective.

For questions about any of our other interest groups, please email info@lwvah.org.
